"We loved our stay at the Cerro Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and wonderful for bird watching. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a very comfortable place to be, and the pizza was delicious! Between birdwatching, floating in the pool, and enjoying the restaurant/observation deck, we were able to fully relax at Cerro Lodge!"

"Our suite was amazing. We knew we found a gem as soon as we opened the door. The wall of the ocean side of our suite was entirely a glass wall with massive sliding doors which could open the room up to the patio and private pool (which is maybe about 80 degrees F and very well maintained). The view of the ocean and mountains is surreal. You’re more than likely guaranteed a sunset view, and the sun seems to set for a solid three hours. You can see it from every part of the suite. Even the shower. The horizon is so broad that even rain is fascinating to watch come in. The staff is fantastic too. They cleaned our room and even took care of the dishes, all the while being non invasive and respecting our privacy and belongings. Steven and Lisa’s is a 5 minute drive, there’s a few super minis and liquor stores 3 minutes away. "

"Beautiful property with a lot of activities located at the resort"

"Beautiful place. I was planning to propose to my girlfriend (now fiancé!) and the staff helped me with everything to be ready for the big day. It was a great place. "

"The El Faro Containers Beach hotel isn’t on the beach (5 min walk) but is built into a steep hill -- so steep, they offer free golf cart rides up and down to access. The pools are nice and they provide beach towels. The hotel is built from old shipping containers, so the rooms are long and narrow. But they are nice and quite comfortable. The elevators are small and slow. Each room has an ocean view from its balcony. On check-in, they warn you to close your room door tight because the monkeys have figured out how to work the doorknob and get in to trash your belongings. I saw a monkey on the roof right outside my hotel window on the day I checked out. Quepos is a short drive away, and there are lots of restaurants, services, and things to do in the Manuel Antonio resort area. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel about a 5 min taxi from Manuel Antonio. Lots of monkeys and macaws to be seen around the lovely pool. Very relaxing spot, fun bar/restaurant and another one by the pool. Fabulous staff and the rooms are stunning and very spacious "

"Our favorite part about our stay was actually where we were at. We chose the affordable cabins next to Carabelas restaurant and they were amazing. The cabins were so surrounded by nature and felt completely private away from everyone else. "

"It’s a lovely beachfront spot with amenities that allows you to relax without having the need to leave for dining. Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen but there is a restaurant and bar on property as well. There are spa services available but the massage received during our stay was lackluster at best. The staff was an absolute delight! From the groundskeepers, housekeeping, service staff and the front desk went above and beyond! The ocean is particularly calm in this area with very little drop off that makes swimming and wading enjoyable. This spot will be revisited! "

"We loved our stay at Mar a Lago! The house was beautiful and located right on the beach! But the highlight of our stay was Lucy and Luis who took such good care to make sure we felt at home. Lucy was the best cook so make sure you have her cook as often as you can! And tell them we said hello :) A must stay! "

"When we pulled up to the Jungle Beach Hotel we found a charming hotel carved into the jungle We awoke to howler monkeys in the trees and watched deer and capuchin monkeys from the pool and outdoor dining area. Truly Costa Rican Magic!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating to our late check in and the service was incredible. We were immediately greeted and given a map of Quepos along with the knowledge of everything that was around. Drinks were amazing and the constant wildlife present at our stay made it that much more special. The treetop canopy did have an uphill walk to get to, but it was so worth it as our room and balcony was right in front of a scarlet macaw nest. Our room was clean and beautiful! When looking for excursions, staff was incredibly knowledgeable of everything to do nearby and even booked it for us! An incredibly unique stay with above and beyond service and beauty, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Pura Vida"

"This hotel definitely has the best views in Manuel Antonio. The sunset and the view of the ocean were absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel restaurant during sunset. We were on the top floor with ocean view and it was stunning. The only issue was that the elevator would go up to our floor but it wouldn’t go down. We didn’t mind walking down the stairs but it was tough when we were going to check out and had to carry our luggage. "
